As of January 1, 2026, Alabama's HB 445 places consumable hemp products under the Alabama ABC Board. The law prohibits online sales, mail order, direct delivery, drive-through sales, and direct shipment of consumable hemp into or within the state, and limits retail sales to ABC Board–licensed businesses: dedicated hemp establishments, retailers holding a valid off-premises liquor license, pharmacies (topical and sublingual products only), and certain food retailers (beverages only).
